The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft in a class that many are saying could be one of generational wealth.
Fantasy Life's Kody Malstrom recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle. Within that mock draft, the Vikings' defense gets another devastating playmaker, this time in the secondary. He has them landing Georgia cornerback Ellis Robinson IV.
Malstrom explains the Robinson pick, writing, "A physical CB who is just as productive in coverage as he is in his efforts
of stopping the run, making Ellis Robinson IV an intriguing fit in Brian Flores' system."
Robinson would project as a top cornerback in the Vikings' defense. Brian Flores has not had a young cornerback to coach up and develop in his tenure with Minnesota. Robinson could be the most talented young cornerback he has had to coach up since Xavien Howard.
