The Vikings quarterback battle did not even make it to the first preseason game. After weeks of build-up, OTAs, and training camp practices, the team named their starter pretty quickly. The Minnesota Vikings named Kyler Murray as their starting quarterback for the start of the regular season back on August 11.
Since that time, he has appeared in one preseason game, and the talk about what is possible has ramped up. This week, while speaking with the media, Vikings general manager Nolan Teasley talked about what he has seen from Kyler Murray in person since he arrived in Minnesota.
He stated, "Kyler (Murray) has really grown in his ability to manage the line of scrimmage. I think we've seen constant improvement throughout the preseason, throughout training
camp. And again, I've said this from the beginning, I'm really bullish on where he's headed and playing in this system with this level of coaching. You know, from KO (Kevin O'Connell) to Josh McCown and everybody else on that side of the ball."

Murray has the best support and coaching staff he has ever had in his short NFL career. He was looking for a fresh start, and he is getting one with the Vikings.
