The Minnesota Vikings had a special performance from their veteran cornerback Isaiah Rodgers in Week 2. The Vikings gutted out a tough win over the Chicago Bears by a score of 9-3. Every scoring opportunity played a big role in that game, being able to turn it around, which is why special teams could make or break it all.
Because of that, the NFL named Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Ironically, he earned this same recognition nearly a year ago when he was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Bengals in their blowout win in Week 3 of the 2025 season. In Week 2, he recovered a fumble in the game, but his blocked field goal truly changed the tide of this game.

If the Bears got that field goal off and made it, they could have attempted a tying field goal on their final drive that went deep into Vikings' territory. Easily, no other player made a bigger impact on special teams than Rodgers.
