The Minnesota Vikings were a mixed bag of results in 2025. They would finish the year with a winning record of 9-8, but had to rattle off five straight wins to get there. A lot of pressure surrounds this organization heading into 2026, and according to one ESPN analyst, this defensive player bears much of the weight.
Bill Barnwell of ESPN went over some of the biggest players, coaches, and general managers who are under the most pressure, and named EDGE rusher Dallas Turner as being under immense pressure in 2026:
Turner had eight sacks in a rotational role filling in on the edge for the Vikings, but he wasn't anywhere near as productive on a snap-by-snap basis as that figure suggests upon closer review.
Eight sacks as a rotational pass rusher,
yet was not productive? Not sure the math is really mathing with Barnwell's analysis. Turner is under pressure this season, but what Barnwell failed to pinpoint is that Turner is the top pass rusher on this defense, and likely needs to put up double-digit sacks in 2026 in order to take that next step in his game.
