The Oklahoma Sooners have dismissed freshman wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers from the program, according to multiple reports. SoonerScoop's George Stoia III reported that an OU spokesperson confirmed the news, but didn't give a reason as to why he was dismissed. The Oklahoman's Colton Sulley confirmed the report.
Rogers was a three-star prospect who signed with the Sooners in the 2026 recruiting class. He hails from Middletown, Delaware, and played at Appoquinimink High School. Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, Rogers is a speedy target in the passing game. He was impressive in spring ball and fall camp in Norman. He was one of the stars of the spring game, catching five passes for 70 yards.
However, he got little action through the
first month of the season, playing just six snaps. He was expected to join the WR rotation at some point in his Oklahoma career, but his time at OU ends after just four games.
Rogers' dismissal leaves the Sooners with 113 total players on the roster this season. OU is down to just 14 total wide receivers after this move, but it still has three other freshman wideouts in Daniel Odom, Xavier Okwufulueze, and Jayden Petit.
#Sooners WR Jahsiear Rogers has been dismissed from the team, I'm able to confirm.
