The Oklahoma Sooners 2027 recruiting class is one of the best in the nation with less than five months to go until the early signing period. It's a class that's full of blue-chip prospects from across the country. Ahead of their senior seasons, four Sooner pledges were named to the USA TODAY Sports High School All-American team on Monday.
247Sports five-star offensive tackle Kaeden Penny of Bixby, Okla. represents Oklahoma's recruiting class on the offensive side of the ball. He's joined by defensive stars like Liberty Christian composite five-star linebacker Cooper Witten and five-star cornerback Gabriel Osborne out of Mustang. The trio of Sooners commits are considered top 60 prospects by both 247Sports and Rivals.
Taven Epps, a four-star linebacker
commit that the Oklahoma Sooners lured away from Texas, was a third-team All-American selection.
The Oklahoma Sooners recruiting class currently ranks No. 6 in the nation, according to 247Sports and No. 4 according to Rivals. Per Rivals, the Sooners have three five-star players and 10 four-star players. They have the seventh-most blue-chip prospects in the nation.
