The Cleveland Browns just got themselves a new defender, and perhaps a little intel, for their Week 3 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
As announced on Tuesday, the Browns have signed linebacker Krys Barnes to their practice squad. The 28-year-old veteran spent the 2025 campaign with Carolina.
Barnes first joined the Panthers in August of 2025, only to be released later that month. He then signed back as a member of their practice squad ahead of the regular season and was eventually promoted to the active roster in late November.
Carolina started Barnes in three of his seven games. He recorded 23 combined tackles and half a sack.
Cleveland is now Barnes' second stop of the 2026 season, as he had signed with the Washington Commanders in mid-August.
Washington parted ways with Barnes during the cutdown to their initial 53-man roster at the end of the summer.
