The Carolina Panthers are reportedly making a few defensive additions heading into their bye week.
According to Mike Kaye of ESPN, the team is expected to sign cornerback Marco Wilson and outside linebacker Nick Hampton to their practice squad.
Wilson, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native and University of Florida product, was selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He'd go on to make 37 starts over 43 games for the Cardinals—totaling 158 combined tackles, three interceptions, an interception return for a touchdown and three forced fumbles.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder has gone on to pick up additional stops with the New England Patriots (2023 to 2024), Cincinnati Bengals (2024 to 2025) and, most recently, the Miami
Dolphins (2026).
Hampton spent the 2026 offseason with Carolina before being released with an injury settlment on Aug. 17.
