The Carolina Panthers will be lining up against a familiar face in Week 7.
As announced by Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles this afternoon, quarterback Baker Mayfield is a go for Sunday's NFC South showdown at Bank of America Stadium. The former No. 1 overall pick (and former Panther) was sidelined for the previous three games due to a thumb injury.
Todd Bowles says that Baker Mayfield “looks like he’s ready to go”, so he’ll start Sunday.

Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels had started in Mayfield's stead. Daniels, who's passed for 501 yards, three touchdowns and five
interceptions at a 61.2-percent completion rate, helped lead the 1-5 Bucs to their lone win of the season thus far—a Week 5 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Before going down in Week 3, Mayfield—over his three contests—had connected on 63.5 percent of his throws for 615 yards, two scores and two picks.
Tampa Bay enters Week 7 averaging 292.7 total yards per game (24th in the NFL) and 19.8 points per game (25th).
