The 2026 campaign may already be over for another Carolina Panthers youngster.
According to Joe Person of The Athletic, wide receiver Chris Brazzell II will undergo season-ending surgery on his torn LCL upon receiving a second medical opinion on the injury. The initial reported diagnosis from Wednesday indicated that the rookie would miss up to at least eight weeks.
Brazzell was carted off from yesterday's session of training camp during seven-on-seven drills. Prior to going down, the 22-year-old made his return to the practice field after missing the previous few outings with unrelated knee discomfort.
Carolina selected Brazzell in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The speedy 6-foot-4 pass catcher had a standout spring, and was on pace to
compete with 2024 first-rounder Xavier Legette for looks behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker.
The Panthers also lost second-year outside linebacker Nic Scourton to a season-ending ACL tear last Thursday.
