Well, at least there's some sort of positive outlook somewhere on the Carolina Panthers' laundry list of injuries.
Wednesday's injury report
featured starting quarterback Bryce Young, who was listed with a knee issue coming out the Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Young was down as a full participant in this afternoon's walk-through—and, per head coach Dave Canales, seems very likely to play this Sunday night against the Detroit Lions."We had a full-speed routes-on-air period, individual period and then we brought it all down in the team—and he was kinda able to do the whole thing," Canales told reporters. "Really confident that he'll be good to go."
Young injured his knee on the first of three sacks he took in the 21-18 defeat. He did not,
however, miss a single snap from the outing.
The same couldn't be said for wideout Jalen Coker, who exited the contest with a quad injury. Canales provided a somewhat encouraging update on the third-year pass catcher, who is considered day-to-day.
"With Coker, he moved around pretty well," he stated. "And was in there, in the weight room, moving, doing some things. But again, he's gotta go out there and play football for us to feel confident that he can go. Tomorrow's gonna be a big day for that."
Coker entered the tilt in Cleveland already dealing with an ankle tweak he sustained in the regular-season opener.
Canales also added that fellow receiver Xavier Legette, who was sidelined in Week 3, is recovering on more of a week-to-week basis.
