There never seemed to be a doubt about (or a-boot) Carolina Panthers wideout Jalen Coker this week.
On Monday, following a spectacular showing in the team's season-opening loss to the Chicago Bears, the third-year receiver showed up to the locker room sporting a boot
on his left foot. Coker told reporters that he injured his ankle in the Week 1 outing, and that the footwear was just a precautionary measure.Well, he wasn't lying—as Coker now enters the weekend, ahead of the Week 2 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, with a green light.
Friday's injury report noted Coker as a full participant at practice after he was limited on both Wednesday and Thursday. He was not listed with a game designation, meaning he's good to go.
Coker is fresh off reeling
in a career-high 138 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns from Carolina's 59-37 defeat in Week 1. Over his past two games, including the Panthers' wild-card round appearance versus the Los Angeles Rams, he's totaled 17 receptions, 272 yards and three scores on 21 targets.
