Losing to the Cleveland Browns was bad enough, but the Carolina Panthers also suffered injuries to a few key players here in Week 3. Starting cornerbacks Mike Jackson (groin) and Jaycee Horn (quad) had both been sidelined while quarterback Bryce Young powered through what appeared to be some discomfort in his foot.
The team also saw their leading receiver Jalen Coker exit with another setback. After coming into the weekend as questionable for the contest due to an ankle tweak—Coker suited up, but sustained a quad injury.
That's concerning, because Coker missed a total of 12 games over his first two seasons with quad problems. However, after the game, Coker downplayed his injury—calling it "nothing crazy" and focusing instead on the frustrating
defeat.

Coker ended the afternoon with just two catches, one of them being a perfect toe-tap on the sidelines for a 13-yard gain. He was still more productive than Carolina's No. 1 in Tetairoa McMillan, who caught two of five targets for 17 yards as he was blanketed by star Browns cornerback Denzel Ward.
On the bright side, with Coker on the sidelines, the Panthers got a surprisingly strong game from Brycen Tremayne—who posted a game-high 82 receiving yards.
There's no word yet on Coker's status for the Week 4 Sunday nighter against the Detroit Lions.
