The Carolina Panthers will have to navigate through quite a bit of uncertainty at the cornerback position.
On Wednesday morning, the team announced that they have placed both of their starting corners—Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson—on injured reserve. Both sustained injuries, the former a quad and the latter a groin, in Carolina's Week 3 loss
to the Cleveland Browns and will now be sidelined for at least the next four weeks.Horn's outlook, based off the chatter from Monday, seems bleak. The two-time Pro Bowler sustained what head coach Dave Canales described as a "significant" setback, with multiple reports suggesting that Horn could miss the remainder of the campaign due to a tear.
But how about Jackson?
Well, according to ESPN senior NFL reporter
Jeremy Fowler, the team is hoping to get the eighth-year defender back "some time" in November.
Jackson exited in the first quarter of this past Sunday's defeat and would not return. He was replaced by 2026 fourth-round pick Will Lee III.
As for official word, the Panthers and Canales may provide additional details on Jackson following today's practice.
