The Carolina Panthers are facing a flurry of injuries.
They entered training camp already depleted along the line of scrimmage, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Now, they're also starting to look thin at wideout—as Xavier Legette was carted away this morning with what head coach Dave Canales hopes is just a stinger.
In any event, the Panthers are at least considering bringing in outside help to boost their receiver corps depth. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Carolina brought in former Green Bay Packers wideout Julian Hicks for a workout.

Hicks (6-foot-2, 201 pounds) played his college football at Central Michigan and
Akron, putting in two years at each school. All together, Hicks appeared in 25 college games—totaling 62 catches, 543 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Here are some highlights from his freshman year at Central Michigan, which was his most productive season:
Hicks has the size and length that the Panthers like at the position—but they have not signed him, at least not as of yet.
