The Carolina Panthers' leading pass catcher, at least through the first week of the 2026 season, is a go for the second week of the 2026 season.
As announced on Friday, wideout Jalen Coker entered the weekend without a game designation ahead of this afternoon's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. So the third-year receiver, who began the week sporting a walking boot on his left foot, is expected to play in the NFC South showdown out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium today.
Coker had told reporters that he injured his ankle in last Sunday's season-opening loss to the Chicago Bears. That outing saw the former undrafted free agent post a career-high 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns on eight grabs.
Carolina listed Coker as a limited participant in practice
on both Wednesday and Thursday. He'd put in a full session Friday before getting the green light.
In his last two games, including the Panthers' wild-card round bout versus the Los Angeles Rams back in January, Coker totaled 17 catches for 272 yards and three scores.
