The first Sunday night game at Bank of America Stadium in 11 years did not disappoint.
Here's everything we know from the Carolina Panthers' sparkling prime-time win over the Detroit Lions . . .
Final score
Panthers 32, Lions 26
Keys to the game
- Panthers QB Bryce Young was surgical in breaking down the Lions defense, completing 29 of his 41 throws for 329 yards and two touchdowns. 14 of those passes, 192 of those yards and both scores found the hands of receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
- Carolina also established the run behind Chuba Hubbard, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
- The defense contained Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Gibbs rushed for 46 yards and a score on 15 attempts while reeling in four catches for 31 yards.
It was over when . . .
Down 32-26 with 1:29 remaining, the Lions faced a fourth-and-13 from their own 10-yard line. But a 12-yard completion between quarterback Jared Goff and wideout Isaac TeSlaa couldn't move the chains and handed possession over to the Panthers.
Young then kneeled out the clock for the win.
