The Carolina Panthers may soon be getting back some much-needed help for their offensive trench.
As officially announced on Tuesday afternoon, offensive lineman Brady Christensen has been designated to return to practice. The sixth-year veteran has been sidelined since the start of the regular season due to a hamstring injury.
Head coach Dave Canales talked about Christensen's outlook with reporters on Monday.
"He's healthy, he's strong, he's fit, he's ready to go," Canales stated. "But we gotta see some football under his belt here. So that'll be a good addition to the group to evaluate where he can help us, potentially."
Carolina's offensive line, between injuries and underwhelming play, has hampered the team's progress—especially of late. Going
into Week 9, left tackle Rasheed Walker, center Luke Fortner and right guard Robert Hunt have all allowed the most pressures at their respective positions.
Christensen's versatility may eventually be of use, as he's played from every spot on the line during his NFL career.
