The Carolina Panthers will likely have their leading pass catcher in uniform for Week 3.
Head coach Dave Canales told reporters on Friday that Coker is expected to play against the Cleveland Browns this afternoon. The third-year wideout was considered questionable with an ankle injury heading into the weekend.
A bit of doubt on Coker's status reared its head on Thursday, when he was listed as a non-participant at practice following a limited session from the day prior. But he returned to the field on Friday—where he looked "good," according to Canales.
Coker rolled his ankle in the season-opening loss to the Chicago Bears. That outing saw him record a career-high 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Despite showing up the next day wearing a walking
boot on his left foot, Coker was eventually a go for the Week 2 contest versus the Atlanta Falcons. He notched eight catches for 66 yards and returned two punts for a combined 49 yards in the 34-3 win.
