The Carolina Panthers are giving running back Jonathon Brooks a full green light.
As announced on Friday, Brooks will enter the weekend without a game designation for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Chicago Bears. The third-year rusher, who participated in full during Friday's practice, was limited on Wednesday and Thursday due to groin soreness.
Head coach Dave Canales spoke with reporters after today's session, and was asked if Brooks has any limitations for the Week 1 outing.
"No limitations," Canales replied. "Just ready to see him play and just utilize his talents the best way possible, with some different things. But also, just running the football.
"Very excited to see Chuba [Hubbard] get back to his work, and this is a tandem
we've been thinking about for a really long time and I'm excited to see those guys get out there and help their team."
As expected, the Panthers will not have outside linebacker Pat Jones II for the contest. He's been ruled out with a back injury.
