The cavalry has arrived.
Coming off of their early bye week, the injury-plagued Carolina Panthers are finally getting some reinforcements. On Saturday, the team activated three players to the roster—right tackle Taylor Moton, defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton and running back Trevor Etienne.
All three were listed as questionable coming in, but they're all in the lineup. Rookie offensive lineman Monroe Freeling, who had replaced Moton at right tackle, is out with a knee injury, though.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles are going in the opposite direction. Already reeling from a slew of injuries to key offensive players (and an early retirement), they placed starting quarterback Jalen Hurts on their injured reserve list yesterday with a blood clot.
Tanner McKee will start in his place.
They'll also go without star running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) again.
