According to ESPN's Mike Kaye, the Carolina Panthers are expected to sign inside linebacker Tyrel Dodson to their practice squad. The 28-year-old defender was released by the Miami Dolphins as part of their roster cutdown this past weekend.
Dodson, who cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019, has now entered his seventh pro season. He's split his tenure between the Buffalo Bills (2019 to 2023), Seattle Seahawks (2024) and Dolphins (2024 to 2025).
This past year saw Dodson record career-highs in combined tackles (129) and sacks (5.0) while also notching an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He started in each of his 16 games for Miami.

Bobby Orekere on Saturday. They'll join Pro Bowler Devin Lloyd, who signed with Carolina on a three-year, $42 million out of free agency in the spring.
