The Carolina Panthers didn't come out of their dominant Week 2 win entirely clean.
According to head coach Dave Canales, running back Jonathon Brooks re-aggravated a groin injury during Sunday's 34-3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He spoke about Brooks' status with reporters after the game.
"That's gonna be a day-to-day thing," Canales stated. "So we'll have more information as we get into the week."
Brooks was sidelined at the end of the summer due to the setback. He's still appeared in both contests this season, totaling for 30 rushing yards on nine carries and 43 receiving yards on two catches.
Since being selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Brooks has played in just five regular-season games. Two ACL tears, one from college
and the other from his rookie campaign in 2025, limited him to three outings prior to 2026.
