Well, the Carolina Panthers defense may not be the only side of the ball that's going to undergo some adjustments moving forward.
According to ESPN's Mike Kaye, the Panthers are considering changes for their offensive line following last night's pressure-filled loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The 27-19 defeat
saw quarterback Bryce Young account for six sacks. He was also pressured on nearly half of his dropbacks.Carolina's offensive line woes were not exclusive to Week 8, as the unit has struggled for the majority of the 2026 campaign. The Panthers, per CBS Sports' Mike Renner, currently field the NFL's leaders in pressures allowed at left tackle (Rasheed Walker), center (Luke Fortner) and right guard (Robert Hunt).
Last night's disappointing showing
did not include the trench's top performer in left guard Damien Lewis, who was inactive due to a knee injury. In addition, right tackle Taylor Moton was lost for the season in Week 7 with ankle and fibula injuries while left tackle Ikem Ekwonu has yet to return from a torn patellar tendon.
