The Carolina Panthers might be getting a little help back on offense.
Head coach Dave Canales popped up for media availability on Monday afternoon, and told reporters that the team plans on opening the 21-day practice window for offensive lineman Brady Christensen.
"He's healthy, he's strong, he's fit, he's ready to go," Canales stated. "But we gotta see some football under his belt here. So that'll be a good addition to the group to evaluate where he can help us, potentially."
Well, that group does need quite a bit of help. Their struggles here in 2026 were most obvious this past Thursday night, where quarterback Bryce Young was pressured on nearly half of his dropbacks and took six sacks in Carolina's 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Christensen
has been on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue since the beginning of the season. The former third-round pick has recorded snaps at every position along the offensive line during his five-year NFL career, so his versatility may come in handy.
Canales was later asked about the outlooks of running back Jonathon Brooks and wide receiver Xavier Legette—who have been sidelined with groin and knee injuries, respectively.
"We're considering all those as well," he said about the prospect of Brooks and Legette also being designated to return to practice. "Right now, Brady comes back to us probably in the best spot, in terms of that group. So, we'll start it with Brady. We're still evaluating the rest of the guys to figure out when that window will be."
Both Brooks and Legette have not played since the Week 2 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
