The Carolina Panthers have come away with one new piece off of the waiver wire, boosting their interior offensive line depth.
As announced on Monday, the Panthers have been awarded former Baltimore Ravens center Corey Bullock off waivers.
Bullock, 6-foot-4, 331 pounds, finished his college career at Maryland after a stop at North Carolina Central. He appeared in 16 games last season for Baltimore, but was only on the field for 13 offensive snaps.
For what it's worth, those reps earned him a solid 69.6 pass blocking grade from Pro Football Focus. He also received a 58.0 in run blocking, bringing his overall offensive grade down to 59.3.
The 24-year-old played at both guard spots during the preseason—allowing just three pressures over 58 snaps, per
NFL Next Gen Stats.
Monday's wire activity also saw former Panthers center Nick Samac and inside linebacker Trevin Wallace find new homes. Samac was claimed by the Minnesota Vikings while Wallace heads to the New York Jets.
