As is often the case, Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales refrained from giving out too much information about his team's injury report here in Week 6.
On Tuesday, the Panthers designated three players to return to practice—running back Trevor Etienne (ankle), offensive tackle Taylor Moton (blood clots) and defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton (neck). And on Friday, all three were listed as full participants from this afternoon's session and are considered questionable for the contest.
So, should we expect to see them in uniform on Sunday? Canales was asked precisely that following today's work.
"I mean, we'll see. We'll see what they look like," he replied with a smile. "We got a great week of practice—and the guys bouncing back, excited to
be out there and showing us what they can do. And now, it's just a matter of putting it together, making sure tomorrow. How are they feeling before we make any decisions?"
Canales did reveal that he expects Etienne to be activated to the roster. His return will be rather timely, as backup running back AJ Dillon has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
With starting right tackle Monroe Freeling deemed doubtful due to a knee issue, Moton may also be back just in time.
Meanwhile, Wharton told reporters on Thursday that he expects to play in Philadelphia.
