Carolina Panthers fans are now seeing Jonathon Brooks like they've never seen him before.
On Thursday, the third-year running back showed up at practice sporting a fresh look. Beat reporter Sheena Quick captured Brooks, without his dreadlocks, greeting teammates on the field this afternoon . . .

Brooks' dreads had taken the ride with him from the University of Texas all the way to the pros, as a second-round pick of the Panthers in 2024.
The 23-year-old, who appeared in just three games prior to the 2026 campaign, is currently on injured reserve as he recovers from groin surgery. In his two outings this season, Brooks rushed for 30 yards on nine carries and added a pair of receptions
for a total of 43 yards.
As we enter Week 6, the Panthers have not made a timeline for Brooks' return publicly known. So, until further notice, we'll just have to wait on the debut of the dread-less Brooks.
