The Carolina Panthers have already moved on from the initial version of their 2026 practice squad.
As announced on Thursday morning, the team has signed running back Ahmani Marshall to the group. The second-year rusher was waived by the Cleveland Browns in the cutdown to their initial 53-man roster this past weekend.
A native of nearby Winston-Salem, N.C., Marshall split his collegiate career between Wake Forest University (2020 to 2021) and Appalachian State University (2022 to 2024). Over his five college seasons, he amassed 1,288 yards and 13 touchdowns on 274 rushing attempts.
Marshall broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Browns in 2025. He'd spend much of his rookie campaign on Cleveland's practice squad, then returned on a reserve/future
deal in January.
To make room for Marshall on their practice squad, the Panthers released offensive lineman Isaia Glass.
