Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young may have been born in Wynnewood, Pa. born and raised in Pasadena, Calif., but he's made himself a home in Atlanta, Ga.
On Sunday, the Panthers will make their annual visit to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to take on the Atlanta Falcons. And no one may be looking forward to that trip more than Young, who has experienced a ton of success down in "A-Town."
In his last outing there, in Week 11 of the 2025 campaign, Young passed for a franchise-record 448 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-27 overtime win. The year before, he scored five touchdowns—including a pair of runs—en route to a 44-38 overtime victory.
And even before that, back in college, Young led the Alabama Crimson Tide past the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2021
SEC championship game—throwing for 421 yards with four total touchdowns.
Young, who took the lectern following the first official practice of Week 2, was asked why he thinks he's been so successful playing inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
"It's not something that really enters my mind," he said on Wednesday. "It's all about this week. We have a lot of respect for them—as a team, as a defense. Obviously, this is a division game. There's a lot for us. So, it's all about building that confidence this week, throughout practice and get ready to go out there."
Well, Young was ready when he hit the field last week—even if the end result wasn't what he and the team were hoping for. Young got his campaign off to a roaring start, chucking for 361 yards—the second-highest mark of his four-year career—and hitting the end zone four times in Carolina's 59-37 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Perhaps this time, Young can stir up a bit of home cooking to get his Panthers into the win column here in 2026.
