Injuries are an unfortunate fact of life in the NFL. Where it gets tragic is that they seem to strike some players more than others.
Perhaps nobody has been less lucky in this department on the Carolina Panthers than cornerback Jaycee Horn, who missed much of the first three seasons of his pro career due to a variety of injuries.
After getting healthy and playing most of the last two years, Horn has finally lived up to his potential—establishing himself as a top-10 performer at his position and earning Pro Bowl nominations both in 2024 and 2025. But sadly, it sounds like Horn has suffered yet another major setback in his career.
A short time ago, we learned that Horn's quad injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns will put him
out "indefinitely," according to NFL Network—raising speculation that he might be done for the season.
Horn's message that he just shared on social media is only going to fuel that idea. Here's what he posted to Twitter/X this afternoon . . .

There's no final word yet, though—and it's possible Horn could still return in 2026. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler just reported that he may miss between 6-12 weeks.
That's a huge window and speaks to the uncertainty about Horn's injury. Hopefully, it's not as bad as it sounds and we will get to see him on the field again at some point this year.
