After a small first wave of cuts on Saturday—the Carolina Panthers made their initial 53-man roster official with a second, much bigger wave this evening.
The following players, as announced on Sunday, have been let go . . .

- DL Elijah Garcia (released)
- DL Jared Harrison-Hunte (waived)
- DL Parker Petersen (waived)
- OLB Cam Gill (released)
- OLB Jeremiah Moon (waived)
- OLB Isaiah Smith (waived)
- ILB Mapalo Mwansa (waived)
- ILB Maema Njongmeta (waived)
- ILB Trevin Wallace (waived)
- CB Tyrek Funderburk (waived-injured)
- CB Cam Miller (waived)
- CB DeCarlos Nicholson (waived)

In addition, Carolina placed running back Trevor Etienne and inside linebacker Bam Martin-Scott on injured reserve, with the designation to return after four weeks. Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton were also placed on the injured reserve/physically unable to perform list and right tackle Taylor Moton was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.
