The Carolina Panthers may be getting a much-needed return for this Sunday's prime-time bout against one of the NFL's top offenses.
On Monday, following his team's Week 3 loss
to the Cleveland Browns, head coach Dave Canales told reporters that inside linebacker Devin Lloyd is likely to suit up for their upcoming matchup with the Detroit Lions. The 2025 Pro Bowler was held out of from yesterday's 21-18 defeat due to a calf injury.Lloyd expressed the same sentiment, but perhaps with a bit more certainty, a little later on in the afternoon . . .

Week 2 saw Lloyd put on one of the greatest performances in franchise history—becoming the first player to ever record at least eight tackles,
a sack, two interceptions and an interception return for a touchdown in a game. He was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the 34-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
With Lloyd sidelined on Sunday, the Panthers started veterans Bobby Okereke and Tyrel Dodson in the middle of their defense. But the unit suffered two significant losses in cornerbacks Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn, who may be lost for the remainder of the campaign due to a groin tear.
