The Carolina Panthers made an adjustment to their practice squad on Monday.
As announced this afternoon, the team has signed linebacker Mohamoud Diabate to their practice squad. The fourth-year defender was released from the Tennessee Titans' practice squad this past Thursday.
An Auburn, Ala. native, Diabate split his five-year collegiate career between the University of Florida (2018 to 2021) and the University of Utah (2022). He'd enter the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns in 2023.
Diabate went on to make 18 starts over a total of 46 games for the Browns through the 2025 campaign. He amassed 127 combined tackles (eight for a loss), a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and three passes defensed.
Tennessee carried Diabate
on their offseason roster through the summer before waiving him in the cutdown to their initial 53-man roster. He'd return on their practice squad two days later.
To make room for Diabate, the Panthers released fellow linebacker Maema Njongmeta.
