The Carolina Panthers just got a look at a trio of defenders.
Per the league transaction wire, the team hosted linebackers Kobe King and Larry Worth III as well as defensive back Emany Johnson for tryouts on Tuesday.
A second-team All-Big Ten selection out of Penn State in 2024, King was taken by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He appeared in five games as a rookie, mostly on special teams, prior to being waived in late October.
King would then be claimed by the New York Jets, who played him in nine games that season.
His twin brother, cornerback Kalen King, spent much of his 2025 campaign on Carolina's practice squad.
Worth, a rookie, split his three-year collegiate between Jacksonville State and Arkansas. He amassed
181 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception over 38 games.
Johnson spent six seasons at the University of Nevada (2018 to 2023) before breaking into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
