A difficult season for Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Taylor Moton just got a whole lot harder.
The longtime starting right tackle made an early exit from Sunday's 43-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as he was carted away with what the team ruled as ankle and fibula injuries. Head coach Dave Canales provided a devastating update on Moton during his post-game press conference.
"Yeah, T-Mo's gonna be out for a while," Canales told reporters. "It was the fibula. There is a fracture there. We'll have to get the full run-up to be able to give you the extent of the whole thing.
"But it was just sick for T-Mo. Working his way back, getting out there. Just kinda an end-of-the-play thing, guys just rolled up on him unexpectedly at that moment."
Moton was playing in just his second game of the 2026 campaign. The 32-year-old was sidelined from the previous four contests, and the bulk of the offseason, as he recovered from blood clots in his lung.
As he did in Moton's stead through Week 4, rookie Monroe Freeling took over at right tackle.
