When it comes to the injury department, the Carolina Panthers have gotten nothing but bad luck since the first day of training camp—and the list of inactives for tonight's game against the Detroit Lions isn't going to stop that trend.
After being listed as questionable coming into the weekend, wide receiver Jalen Coker has been ruled inactive for the contest. Coker, the team's leading pass catcher going into Week 4, has been dealing with a quad injury he sustained in last Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns.
To provide some depth in the event of Coker's absence, Carolina elevated second-year receiver Ja'seem Reed from the practice squad yesterday. He's joined
on the roster by cornerback Robert Rochell, who got called up following the setbacks to starters Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson.
The Panthers are also a bit light up front, with left guard Damien Lewis having already been ruled out on Friday due to a UCL injury.
