Recap: What OKC Thunder said on Friday's 2026-27 NBA training camp

The Oklahoma City Thunder are winding down the final few days of their NBA training camp. The fourth day happened on Friday, Oct. 2. Only a few weeks remain as they're part of Opening Night. They enter the 2026-27 regular season as co-title favorites — alongside the San Antonio Spurs.

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, Alex Caruso and Jared McCain talked to the local media after training camp. Both are penciled in as key rotation pieces for OKC this upcoming year.

Daigneault talked about the Exhibit-10 deal players and the value they bring in training camp. Even if they likely won't make the NBA roster, they're still usefulness extracted from their weeks-stay on the Thunder. This year's group includes Zhaire Smith, Christoph Tilly, Andrew Holifield

and Robert McCray V.

Meanwhile, Caruso had an epic one-liner when asked about how he's physically felt as he goes through his first training camp in OKC. And then McCain had a laugh about a couple of recent social-media viral moments.
