The Oklahoma City Thunder held NBA practice on Saturday, Oct. 24. The 2026-27 regular season is underway. They sit at 2-0 with resume-strengthening wins over the San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets to get things going for a hopeful championship run.
The Thunder are on a two-day break. They're about to play their first back-to-back of the year. They host the LA Clippers on Sunday and then the Phoenix Suns on Monday. Barring anything wild, OKC should comfortably win both matchups. But we'll see.
Ajay Mitchell talked to the local media after practice. He talked about his improved defense and how he's found confidence in his scoring again after a little bit of a slump to start the year.
Here's what else happened at OKC's Saturday, Oct. 24 NBA practice:

Ajay Mitchell on OKC’s defense creating a ton of turnovers: “I think it's just a mindset that every guy on our team has. We really buy in the defense. When it comes down to that stretch, we're able to create turnovers. It brings a lot of energy.” pic.twitter.com/zmiuIEsYdw
