The Oklahoma City Thunder play the Houston Rockets on Friday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.
This will be the first matchup between the two squads of the 2026-27 regular season.
The Thunder (4-1) navigate their new apocalyptic NBA life. They're without three of their four best players for the foreseeable future. Last time, they had a 120-96 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 21 points on 19 shot attempts.
Meanwhile, the Rockets (5-1) also fell to the Mavericks in a 116-111 loss on Friday. Kevin Durant had 28 points and five
rebounds on the first night of their road-and-home back-to-back.

Advice and prediction
It's going to be rough waters for a while. The Thunder lost Holmgren in a Friday news dump for the next two-plus months. Besides the obvious long-term concerns over his patellar tendon tear, OKC in the short-term is in the worst spot it's been at in years. Gilgeous-Alexander will be asked to do a lot on a nightly basis. And the hope/prayer is that a couple of role players go off to make up for the lack of top-end talent. Don't think that'll fly in this matchup. I think the Rockets should take care of business pretty smoothly. They're basically healthy and have played well this year.
Prediction: Rockets 109, Thunder 96
