The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. This will be the first matchup of the 2026-27 regular season. It also serves as OKC's home opener.
The Thunder (1-0) had a cathartic 116-104 win
over the San Antonio Spurs for Opening Night on Tuesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the best player with 32 points and four assists. Chet Holmgren had a little bit of a redemption with 14 points and seven rebounds.Meanwhile, the Nuggets (0-0) will play their first game of the regular season. Nikola Jokic headlines another year for them. Same for Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. But once again, Denver's depth remains a weakness and is filled with question marks.
The Thunder remain mostly healthy. Nikola Topic (back surgery) is out. Thomas
Sorber (back surgery) is out. Otega Oweh (torn Achilles) is out.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets could be without key bench pieces. Julian Strawther (knee sprain) is out. Spencer Jones (bilateral hamstring injury management) is questionable.
Tipoff from Oklahoma City is set for 8:30 p.m. CT.
