In a social media poem that also serves as an offseason update, Gilgeous-Alexander is ready to start the 2026-27 regular season. Even after the Thunder went through a summer of cost-cutting moves, they're entering the year as co-title favorites.

After back-to-back MVP campaigns, Gilgeous-Alexander sits atop the NBA world. He's one of the league's best players. If not the best. The 28-year-old remains at the peak of his powers and could make some additional history with a fifth consecutive superb-efficient 30-plus point campaign.
As long as Gilgeous-Alexander is healthy, the Thunder will be smack-dab in the title conversation. You've earned that after two historic seasons where OKC dominated the rest of the competition. Right now, we're seeing one of the era-defining NBA superstars of the 2020s. His competition is all-time pantheons. Rather than anybody in the league right now.
