The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Washington Wizards on Saturday. This will be the first matchup between the two squads in the 2026-27 regular season. This is also the second night of a road-and-home back-to-back for the former.
The Thunder (7-2) absolutely humiliated the Memphis Grizzlies in a 128-97 win on Friday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was on cruise control with 28 points in three quarters. Ajay Mitchell had a career-best 35 points and five assists.
Meanwhile, the Wizards (4-5) fell short in a 139-132 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. Kyshawn George went off for 33 points and seven assists. Trae Young also had 23 points and 10 assists.
Because both teams are on the second night of a back-to-back, they've yet to submit their respective
injury reports. That won't happen until sometime early Saturday afternoon. That said, we can safely sideline a few players.
The Thunder are still extremely short-handed. Jalen Williams (ankle surgery) is out. Cason Wallace (shoulder surgery) is out. Chet Holmgren (knee injury recovery) is out.
Meanwhile, the Wizards should be mostly good to go. Justin Champagnie (foot surgery) is out. Jamir Watkins (torn ACL) is out. Tristan Vukcevic (hip impingement) is out. Reece Beekman (AC joint injury) is out.
Tipoff from Oklahoma City is set for 7 p.m. CT.
