On a Sunday night at a cemetery -- yes, a cemetery -- in Los Angeles a 50th anniversary tribute concert was held to honor the great Ramones.
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Travis Barker of Blink-182, Tim Armstrong of Rancid, and C.J. Ramone, were the core four of the Cretin Family at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. They were joined by plenty of guests, including the Linda Lindas, Fred Armisen, and Billy Idol.
After being introduced by John Travolta, the powerhouse band delivered a rock-em, sock-em set that lasted a bit less than an hour.
It was dynamic. Remember, Ramones songs are short, powerful, and to the point.
