Amazing how the Las Vegas Raiders' surprising start has suddenly made them an interesting team. CBS thinks so, sending its top announce team to the game rather than to Denver at San Francisco.
A testament to what the ratings power of the Raiders and Chiefs will do.
16. Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders, NFLN, Oct. 4, 9:30 a.m.
Marcus Mariota looks to make it two in a row in an international game. Have to wonder if the Commanders will have a letdown after stunning Seattle. The Colts come off their first win against the disappointing Texans. Expect a tight game here. Prediction: Colts 23, Commanders 20
15. Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants, CBS, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
The Giants have a big
chance to go to 3-1. The John Harbaugh hire is looking as brilliant as it was hyped to be. Quarterback matchup of Jacoby Brissett and Jameis Winston shows there is no end in sight for veterans who can wing it. Prediction: Cardinals 27, Giants 24
14. Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens, CBS, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
The Ravens had better get this right. They need to pummel the Titans to show they are the real deal. Derrick Henry might go for 200 rushing yards against his former team. Prediction: Ravens 31, Titans 7
13. Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings, FOX, Oct. 4, 4:05 p.m.
The Vikings look to go to 4-0 as one of the best surprises early in the year. This feels like another step to what could be 0-17 for Miami. Jeff Hafley doesn't have a chance. Prediction: Vikings 23, Dolphins 3
12. Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, FOX, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
Teams off to terrible starts get together. Is it too soon to say this is a must-win game for both? No Baker Mayfield for Tampa Bay should be a huge boost to Green Bay. Matt LaFleur had better win here or he will find himself squarely on the hot seat. Prediction: Buccaneers 17, Packers 16
11. Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints, ABC/ESPN, Oct. 5, 8:15 p.m.
ESPN/ABC will hype this as the 20th anniversary of the famed Steve Gleason blocked punt game. That could tell you this isn't exactly a sexy matchup. Prediction: Saints 30, Falcons 27
10. Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers, NBC, Oct. 4, 8:20 p.m.
Dan Campbell's Lions have been shaky at best. This is a tough test as Carolina doesn't want to fall to 1-3 despite the NFC South being awful. Prediction: Panthers 33, Lions 31
9. New York Jets at Chicago Bears, FOX, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
Will Case Keenum's magic continue on a short week? If he can handle the Eagles, shouldn't he be able to down the woeful Jets? How much more time does Aaron Glenn get? Prediction: Bears 23, Jets 10
8. Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns, Prime Video, Oct. 1, 8:15 p.m.
The entire AFC North is 2-1. Fascinating QB matchup between controversial Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers. Could the Browns actually go to 3-1 for Todd Monken? Prediction: Steelers 24, Browns 20
7. Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans, FOX, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
The Texans can't go to 0-4, can they? This Lone Star State matchup is a huge test for Dallas. After the debacle in Rio at the end against the Ravens, Brian Schottenheimer needs a win. Prediction: Texans 24, Cowboys 23
6. Los Angeles Chargers at Seattle Seahawks, CBS, Oct. 4, 4:25 p.m.
Jim Harbaugh, welcome to the hot seat. Seattle will be smarting after its stunning loss to the Commanders. Prediction: Seahawks 30, Chargers 16
5. New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills, CBS, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
The expected top teams in the AFC East meet. Drake Maye is the centerpiece of woe. He has been awful thus far in 2026. Could the Bills actually have the division wrapped up after four weeks of the 2026 season? Kidding ... not. Prediction: Patriots 21, Bills 17
4. Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals, CBS, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
This should be an offensive showcase with Trevor Lawrence against Joe Burrow. The Jaguars are the real deal. The Bengals still have a lot to prove. Prediction: Bengals 27, Jaguars 24
3. Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders, CBS, Oct. 4, 4:25 p.m.
The Kirk Cousins magic carpet ride comes to a jarring end. Yes, the Raiders are home but that shouldn't matter becaise the Chiefs are back to being the Chiefs. Prediction: Chiefs 23, Raiders 13
2. Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles, FOX, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.
The Eagles are coming off a bad loss to Case Keenum at Chicago. The Rams are 1-2 and heading into hostile territory. This game figures to be a slobberknocker. Prediction: Eagles 20, Rams 16
1. Denver Broncos at San Francisco 49ers, CBS, Oct. 4, 4:25 p.m.
By far the best game on the schedule in Week 4. Denver is going to be a power and threat to win the entire AFC. The Niners have been a juggernaut through three weeks. Fantastic matchup. Prediction: 49ers 30, Broncos 24
