The Boss was born on that date in 1949 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He has gone on to make New Jersey proud in many ways, on many platforms.

Springsteen has sold millions of albums worldwide, with "Born in the U.S.A." and his "Greatest Hits" combining for more than 35 million of those sales.

His tours have been reported to sell more than 22 million tickets for over $2.3 billion.

Springsteen remains one of the greatest live acts in the history of rock 'n' roll. At 77, he shows no signs of slowing.
