A big-time in-state prospect is set to visit Michigan State this fall for a Spartans' home game.
AJ Henley of Harper Woods, Mich. announced on Friday that he'll take an unofficial visit to Michigan State in September. According to a social media post from Henley, he will visit Michigan State on September 12 for the Spartans' home game against Eastern Michigan.
Henley is listed as a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 84.50 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 39 tight end and No. 18 player from Michigan in 247Sports' composite rankings. He is also listed as the No. 784 overall prospect in the country for the 2028 class.
Michigan State has not yet extended an offer to Henley, but he does hold offers from more than 20
schools. According to 247Sports, he holds offers from Michigan, Minnesota, Pitt, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, Louisville, Rutgers, Washington, USF, Tulane, Southern Miss, UConn and some other group of six programs.
