As we all know, it hasn't been the best year for Michigan State football as Pat Fitzgerald tries to rebuild the roster and culture in East Lansing. One of the bright spots, however, has been the play of incoming transfer center Trent Fraley, who is the son of longtime Detroit Lions assistant coach Hank Fraley. It seems that others are taking note of Fraley's play as well. On Thursday, it was announced that Trent Fraley has been named to the Rimington Trophy watchlist, which is an award given to the top center in college football each year.
Fraley won the Rimington Award at the FCS level last year at North Dakota State, and has consistently been one of the top-ranked offensive players for MSU according to PFF. Fraley is also in consideration for the Campbell
Trophy, which is considered the 'academic Heisman.'
