One of the coolest parts about following a college basketball team is watching some of those players break through and eventually make it to the next level, where you can continue to follow their careers. Michigan State basketball has a long legacy of NBA players, from Magic Johnson to Draymond Green. This season, seven former Spartans will be on NBA rosters to start the season, which officially tipped off on Tuesday, fittingly, in Detroit.
Below, you can see every former Michigan State player currently on an NBA roster to start the season:
- Miles Bridges, Phoenix Suns
- Max Christie, Dallas Mavericks
- Jaren Jackson Jr., Utah Jazz
- Jase Richardson, Orlando Magic
- Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors
- Jaden Akins, New York Knicks (Two-Way)
- Carson Cooper, Memphis Grizzlies (Two-Way)
Five Spartans will start the season on full deals, while Jaden Akins and Carson Cooper will go between their pro and G-League teams as they continue to develop their games.
