Michigan State will formerly introduce its new athletic director this afternoon.
Fans will have the opportunity to watch the introductory press conference for new Michigan State athletic director Dan Bartholomae on Wednesday afternoon. The Big Ten Network will be televising the press conference today at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
Bartholomae was announced as the new Michigan State athletic director earlier this week. He is coming from Western Michigan where he served the same role and experienced a ton of success as the leader of the Broncos' athletics department.
Bartholomae took over as the Western Michigan athletic director in January of 2022, and has experienced a large amount of success in his four-plus years with the school. In the last two
seasons, Western Michigan won a national championship in hockey and the Mid-American Conference championship in football. According to Thamel, Bartholomae has also led Western Michigan to "record-breaking" fundraising during his time with the Broncos.
